Cakes reign but a day.

Omi: Ree baba ree baba

Here is an incredible song written by the famous Indian duet Sonik-Omi (they made the music of many famous Bollywood movies) and sung by Omi (Om Prakash Sonik, 1939-2016) (the nephew of Master Sonik the composer, died 1993).
This song comes from the soundtrack of a 1978 Bollywood film called Teen eekay. This track stands out as the others are more typical of the Bollywood style and sung by stalwarts such as Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar. It is that mixture of a thousand violins wailing away and Omi's amazing growling vocal that really sets this track apart from the rest of the songs. What on earth could he be singing about with such animal relish and abandon? One thing is for sure - once heard, never forgotten! Omi, or Yma Sumac through the looking-glass?..
Don't restrain yourself from enjoying!
