Here is a tribute to one of the oldest peoples on Earth, the fascinating Bushmen, or Khoisan, famous for their click languages and their egalitarian social systems. This endangered nomadic people (most Bushmen are now sedentarized), who once inhabited an immense territory, far beyond the Kalahari, needs consideration. The first song is a traditional one, the second song, entitled Kalahari Bushman, is a free composition by the great Afro-American singer Myriam Burton, from her very rare LP African lament (see my other clip about her, Wine palm party).
Enjoy the eternal beauty of the Bushmen!
